Um, I recommended he get satellite instead of CABLE. My post was completely on topic. Since when is offering other options against the "on topic rules"???? Next time before you criticize somebody, try using your brain a bit. My friend has directv and he says he had more tv outages with cable than he does with satellite. Oh, and as far as the apartment thing....you might want to look into it...alot of apartments in my area are letting people get satellite for 2 reasons.

1. We have the right to choose how to spend our own damn money, and most people don't want to pay twice the price for half the channels simply because cable is "more convienient." And since this is the case, I'm sure alot of people have been complaining to their landlords.

2. Don't most apartments have balconies? And access to the outside??? Mounting a 18" satellite dish only take a few bolts and nuts...it's not that big of a deal, really

Raiden, your better off asking your neighbors mainly because we dont know what services are available in your area. Even if my cable company is good here, the could be awful where you live. If you stay here any longer it going to become a debate between sat and cable and nobody really wants to here it.

I dont care how you spend your money. read my post
sorry, thats just not me.

did i tell you how to spend your money? no. Did i tell you what to do? NO . I Simple Told you that Satelite Service isnt for me, and i dont want to install it in an appartment complex.

In my PERSONAL opinion satelite service isnt any good considering the fact it always goes off when it rained. If i dont like it then yay. if you dont like it then yay. go with whatever. im just saying that im not one for Satelite. plus the fact i never asked about satelite to begin with..

You asked for suggestions. I made my suggestion. So what if it wasn't a cable company?? It was still a digital tv service, and IMHO is close enough. Ain't my fault your picky.

Does anybody else think I'm off topic for suggesting satellite?
