Very nice RPGWizard . although it looks like you did use a very low quality settings .. i can see pixels flying around .. with such a small size , you can try a PNG format :)

thx, concerning the smoothing, it may take some time. What was done here was basically me trying to remember and apply a class I took 1 year ago.

Also I just updated my gf3 driver and realized I may have not had anisotropic filtering and AA on max, would doing so help my image quality when creating?

Beyond that I don't know/can't remember if I can (or know how) to make it smoother.

hmm, nice pic, although i think simple lens flares are way overused, personally when i add lensflares, i prefer the white ones and i usually put em on a black layer which blends into the other layer via linear dodge, thats one hint for anyone having trouble adding a realistic "sun" or "light" to their picture

i use masks a lot, then on the masks i usually use gradients and various air brushes to block pixels and make em blend

I get mine to blend my removing rough edges with the eraser then blending with the eraser on a low opacity.

uhh, i said before actually that i learned to use masks from a series of photoshop tapes i watched, its pretty simple, to add a mask just click the small mask button at the bottom of the layers window... to edit a mask make sure the black and white colours are selected, the add to the mask/blot out the image use black, to remove part of the mask use white, you can also use a gradient to make an initial smoothing if you want to make a single side blend

Mine seem to turn out alright. But the only thing I hate is cropping with that lasso tool. It gets frustrating. And I always crop! :rolleyes:

ergh...i hate that damn lasso tool! the magic wand i normally but it sometimes gets something you dont want it to and that lasso is frusterating because if you mess up or click it you totally have to start over

If you use photoshop, use the "extract" tool. You will probably need to do a little touchup work when you finish, but much better than the lasso tool ;)

cheaters..? technicaly i thought we where talking about "the cheat" btw, anyway. i didnt know you can cheat online with counter strike. never really bothered. i did things the good old fashion american way, "shoot first, Shoot again, shoot somemore, than start asking questions" just as long as i have enough ammo. im happy ;)

alright, no prob... i think the font i used is called "A charming Font" from my fonts collection, the lightning effects were all generated with a bunch of cloud effects and levels and colour settings,

what program did you use? it seems to compress the file but still keeps the quality good. photoshop cant seem to do that well. thats why all my aim avatars are crap

In photoshop you can go to file>save for web (or something like that

You get tons of options for png, jpeg, gif etc ... and different color values and stuff. :) That how my avatars and sigs look so clean but always fit the size. :)

yeah i know that, the problem is aim though. i cant compress the file small enough too the point the other person can make out what my avatar is. it has a 7168 byte size limit. so it complicates things..
