well, I wanted to experiment with some grunge brushes thanks to Stridey... so I came out with some sigs out of boredom.... perhaps I will change into one of these if you guys give me some pointers ;)

I dunno if those are grunge brushes, just looks like a pattern cemented on ;) you need to work on the fonts a little as well :p

well i like the kos-mos character, but the back kinda reminds me of a carpet no offense, its more like a wall than a backdrop, and i think you should make the font be more connected to the bg as well

Yeah, it does look nice, although I'm not much of a fan of lots of unused white space. Yes, I know Elly has that too, and I don't like his Sig from an artistic point of view :p

Anyway, new av + sig for me. Inspired by Razor Blade's UT2k4 Skaarj, I've done one from Unreal 2 (mostly ingame) material. I'm not to pleased with the letters in the sig though. Don't know in what style to replace them yet.

I like it but here are my suggestions. Where it says HELLMASTER X it is very hard to read. I would try maybe a different futuristic font and a different color. Perhaps a grey, red or cool blue color. The sig bg is the wrong color (don't know if you knew that) And also the character in it - the edges look a little bit choppy and pixelated around the edges. The rest is aewsome. I really like the alien wording and the white little bg part. It is always nice for the avatar to match too, but I still like the contrast between the two.

I think I'll keep it the way it is now (+ I don't feel like getting ingame to make new source material :p and google doesn't provide anything better). Maybe it's the white outlining of the letters that makes me doubt. ChaosBlade, do you have any suggestions?

Thanks guys :) I think the reason why I'm not entirely sure about it is because the colors of the avatar don't match the ones from the Sig. I don't want to change my Av's colors though. If I make the red more flashy like in the Letters of the Sig, detail is lost at that resolution. And if I change the red in the sig to match that of the avatar, It's not very pretty.. trust me. :p

Usually I use an eraser tool with a low hardness setting.

No. He has an "make-me-an-avatar-program" .He types in what his sig should be about and the program searches the internet for pictures, puts them in the sig, makes the background transparent and makes the characters pop out of the sig.

Allrighty. With Doom 3 going gold, and this being a board about gaming mainly (emulation is gaming since consoles are usualy GAME consoles :P), whipped up a Doom III sig with the help of master photoshopper RB. Me likes :)
