New Avatar and Sig thread.

erm, k... well i did it in the time it took you to post that anyways so whatever :p i moved the final fantasy part down a bit and saved it at around 17kb, it doesnt have many visual oddities like those light blue parts

I personally wish for a new limit on avatars.....at least on filesize (Maybe 20k-25k, but only for animation. For normal, 7k is more than enough).....I'd like to see some good, animated avatars on the board.....and maybe an increase in max. dimensions. Maybe 100x100. Of course, this can create problems for modem users.....And I do feel for them.....but.....l33t animated avatars are so cool.....

*sigh* I can get most sigs down to 10k still looking good, and most avatars down to 3k, still looking good, but ChaosBlade is right: There doesn't have to be a proportion, and IMHO, a user shouldn't be able to use a bigger avatar/sig until they have a certain number of posts (and of course proper knowledge when it comes to compressing avatars/sigs).....If you don't have an animated avatar, at 100x100 you should be able to get it down to 7-10k, maximum. If you have an animated avatar, I think 20-25k is easily acceptable (animesuki's limit is 50k, which would be nice, but the modem users would die like a neurotic clown). And 100x100 looks so much nicer than 85x85 (See EmuFanatics to see what I mean).

i may have seen it before, i watched part of the credits but not all of it i dont think... anyways you can take pictures outa any movie with virtualdub... just movie to the correct frame and extract the picture (i think its extracted as a bmp)

Sometimes it comes very in handy IMO. :p Sky blue and red are always nice but you have to make sure that one of the colors are not "overglowing". So, the right proportion are Red:4 to Cyan:8 (according to Bauhaus).

Well, its a good idea the concentrate on a single element of the pic, don't look at the whole image itself, imagine you would only draw a hand then, that helps. ;)

I agree with Tori..... if needed, add a mak that blocks everything but the area of the hand, so you canconcentrate on it.... then you can remove it and you'll see how impresive the results are ;)
