Hey...
I have a problem running Chrono Cross.
To be honest, i could have a problem running ANY games as far as i know, but i've only downed the emulator to play that one game.
Anyway, the problems occurs after only a few seconds with an error message saying:
ERROR: Reserved opcode being called : 0x24020005 !!!!
Does anyone know what causes this error?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks...

i didn't try cc with psxeven but i tried it with epsxe 1.5.2 and it works very well so try it and for epsxe 1.6.0 just look at the forum there is a lot of threads that talk about and if it still don't work reply and then i'll help you better

ePSXe was my first choice. But on another forum several people claimed that it was no good for Chrono Cross and that PSXeven was way better for that specific game. The game didn't work on ePSXe when i tried though, but that could very well be from me not setting it up correctly. It's a bit of a let down anyway... And i even bought a gamepad converter to play it. Too bad the game was never released in Norway... :/

preliminary troubleshooting tips: try NOT using save states, try ePSXe 1.5.2, try a different video plugin.

If i understand correctly, you downloaded only the emulator, not the game, right? Because if so, you would be agaisn't the rules, and then you wouldn't receive any help here.
Back to the problem, it works in ePSXe. Just make a search on epsxe's forum, there's lots of threads on how to make it work. Anyways, if it doesn't work in both emus it's most probably that either your cd is screwed, your iso is screwed (so you'll have to make it again from your original CD), or you have the plugins misconfigured. Try posting your configs here if your search doesn't help you on making it work.

The game is NTSC (import). I don't own a chipped PSX...
But i seem to have it sorted now. Appears to have been the bios image that was the cause. Tried another bios image, changed all settings for gfx, sound and so on back to more or less default, and it worked.
Would have been so much simpler if they'd just released the game in PAL version though...
