well, you can buy a real DC! First of all, it'd be really nice if you posted your PC's specs. Most of the times, you've just got to update Video Drivers.

That's not true. This crap happens all the time. I have fixed it before though by turning on some of the games video options like alpha Z write and such. That got time stalkers working. Still trying to figure out what's holding back skies though. Anyway, "real DC"? Were here to discuss emulation not solutions like that.

It can be a BIOS problem too. Chankast needs an EUROPEAN BIOS. If it shows a BLUE swirl then it isnt a BIOS problem. And I use Alkohol 120% to emulate CD and it works.

alcohol does NOT work with all the games. I've noticed that most of the proper released isos have first been burnt (audio track) and then the data (game) and then remade into an iso. That gives you an iso that alcohol etc can process. However if u make one urself with fastboot, it doesn't create an audio track just a lil' trick with an extra data track. And so it does NOT work properly on alcohol. So always use d-tools 3.29 :)
Dunno if the above is exactly how it is but i think so anyway :)

My Alcohol will WORK with ALL my games. I use it to emulate CDs and making ISOs and burning homebrew things. I cant use d-tools because it doesnt support my OS but Alcohol does and it works fine. Those games that wont work, i think that is a Chankast problem.

But now is a weird problem: I burned a Dream Loader to CD (because then i can burn more applications for 1 CD) and i tested it with Chankast (it was a CD what i tested) and it shows only a mouse but it worked (no errors). Then i tryed IMAGE file with Cankast (emulated by Alcohol) and it shows 100 "Io Contlor Error"s. Now i downloaded d-tools to my desktop-pc (english OS) and it showed same error with d-tools.

Why would Chankast require an European BIOS to run oO? I don't have one, yet Chankast works fine. Do you mean it requires an European BIOS for European games?

hei that's all messed up! First of all: chankast will work fine with any bios and any game of any region:it will act just like a dc with a modchip. I allways use japios (red) and chanka runs every game! Even europeans, I'vw just got to change the emulated cable some times. Second: the io error depends to dtools: use the 3.29 and not the latest version! That's all folks.

In Chanka manual there reads that it doesnt work with usa/jap bios. And Alcohol says too io error. Well, i test d-tools now. Well, it says same thing that was at Chankast package: No language support detected! What can i do?

d-tools 3.29? DO NOT use other versions! Read! :P And if it still doesn't work then u have a bad image. If a game doesn't work with chankast it just goes to the bios menu, not the io error that is the bug with higher versions of d-toolz. CHECK YOUR VERSION! :P

I downloaded D-TOOLS 3.29! :???: I DONT HAVE OTHER VERSIONS. I HAVE GOOD IMAGE BECAUSE IT WORKS IN CD AND IN MY DREAMCAST (my avatar is my Dreamcast), "IO CONTROL ERROR" COMES IF I RUN IMAGE (emulated by ALCOHOL!), THE ERROR IMAGE IS AT ATTACH

i use daemon tools 3.29 and on capcom vs snk 2 i get the io error so its much depending on the image(although a cd from the iso can also couse the ioerror )but d-tools3.29 have been working better than the newest versions on most of the images

My commerical games won't cause io error but DC Hakker, Bleem!cast, Gameshark, DoomDC...etc cause io error and D-TOOLS 3.29 DOESN'T EVEN START BECAUSE: "NO LANGUAGE SUPPORT DETECTED!" understood?

here's a fix :) Scroll up a bit there was someone who also had that language support error. something with deleting registry keys in newer d-toolz versions.

Thank you. Now it starts but Dc Hakker has still IO Error. But DemoMenu starts! I've must try other applications what showed IO Error before. And my Dc Hakker is .nrg file but DemoMenu is .cdi. Can it be the reason of IO error?
