error opening games from dvd (ps2 game)

i've got the game in the dvd drive and all and when i select the ONLY image file on the cd it doesn't work on the PCSX2 emulator. it just comes up with this message: "the file you picked is not a usable cd/dvd image." please help i want to play games whilst my brother plays the real ps2 :( thanks whoever can help

First off, NO GAMES WORK, Second off use the DVD Plug-In and not the image plug-in. A side note, I understand your young and what not but you can read. So read the rules before you post anything else, thanks.

ChaosCode was blunt with you to save explaining the finer points of the situation. Yes, PCSX2 does 'play' games in the sense it can boot them up and get a few screens if you're lucky. But in the sense of 'play' that I think you meant (full speed and few glitches) PCSX2 can definitely not play games. There are no other publically known emulators that can play PS2 games.
