Actually you canot call that Full Screen Anti Aliasing because it isnt full screen but... ohh well whatever :p
AF works, but for now in some games it makes just glitches, like in 2d fighting games, it shows many squares :p

Yes, the acronym FSAA means Full Scene Anti Aliasing ;)
joshwaan2k
June 13th, 2004, 08:04
yeah reason there's Glitchs in 2d games when FSAA is on is that it's trying to Smooth the scene, and when there's no Polygons to smooth the game get's glitchy and shows blocks and stuff.
It happens with some pc games that have 2d things in them sometimes too.
anyways I'll post some screens of Giant Gram 2000 soon :)

You can have FSAA in a window. Most 2d glitches are from FSAA. It can happen with AF if the AF is using a lot of Bilinear Filtering, but I haven't seen any games using Chankast that has it with AF.
Those glitches in your shots are from FSAA. I have them too when I enable FSAA, but they aren't there with FSAA disabled. Leave FSAA disabled for 2d games and enabled for 3d games. ;)

no... its having problems with AF not AA, is like on earlier versions of Pete's plugins, leaving AF or Bilinear Filtering enabled on 2d games made glitches happening no matter what AA using, ohh well whatever just try it yourself :p

no more layer problems
a few textures flash from time to time on the character select thats all
the character faces next to life meter looks a bit dodgy (pixelated)
all in-game is fine and actually playable with no crashes... I find a speed up when underclock between 60 and 70

I've tried it and on my system, I can leave AF on and it doesn't cause those weird 2d glitches. Only enabling AA does that to the 2d DC games. Might be one of those quirks with Ati Radeons. I've got an Nvidia card and it's not causing AF problems like that.
It could also be driver quirks.

Is the emualtor running the game correctly?
not fully, text is alpha blending into the in game area, poly gons ar emissing and so are objects. And it may not look that impressive right now, but when you have over 70 people in your dance troupe rendered on the fly and at once, you kind of need those graphics low poly count. Slow down cannot be an issue because it could cause the rythm to go off.
also it looks better than blue screen my nVidia card just showed before. This result was acheived by using a Radeon 9600, no Idea why a geforce 4 ti 4600 would not show it properly.
please also note I am using my mothers profile, she had me editing her account information and I just never changed over, even though its a bit off topic, My Desktop (http://topping.zophar.net/desktop.gif) (note zophar may prevent direct linking, if thats the case, copy and paste it into the URL bar)

Nukhem... what are your system's specs? You seem to be running Ecco pretty well, I wish I could post some shots but my image isn't selfbootable... i'm actually kind of curious if the in-game framerate (Ecco was kinda notorious for having an awful framerate) affects the emulation speed.

:guitar: :agree:[/QUOTE]
That could not describe it any better at all, that scene is just beautiful. Thats just indescribable and I have tears in my eye. But yes, Its not about the graphics, its about the countless efforts and professional choreography that went into the game, and pulling it away from that wretched FMV background to something that is much more appealing and might I add, more in sync than the original too. Screen shots will NEVER do this game justice, the animation is just fluid and amazing. Once Chankast gets alightly more optimized, Ill record a video for you all : ). Or I could just hook my DC up to my video capture card once I learn how (I just got it).
On a side note, If you know about this game, and like it, I honestly urge you to contact me. Either send me an instant message on AIM or PM me for my email address, if you have any respect for this kind of game its VERY important that you contact me. Thank you.

Border Down: Plays very good. Almost no graphical glitches, at least for what i've played. The FPS is also not bad :)

I don`t have LE as well and i`m talking about normal DoA2 version too, thats demo with Kasumi appears only after cheat entering.

No, by NORMAL one i mean NOT LE version. Just first Dead or Alive 2 (not LE or Hack or something else)

Just search for naomi bios, rename it to dc_bios.bin and put in the Chankast Folder. :thumb:

Dead or Alive 2 (1/2) - Minor sound glitches, and the odd texture glitch.
Taken from GameFaqs:
Uncut Demo
On the mode select screen, choose Option. On the Option screen, choose Game Settings and go to Others. Now change your Age to any number higher than 21. Now go back to the mode select screen and pick Survival Mode. Play through this mode until you get onto the top ten ranking list and put your name in as REALDEMO. Now go back to the title screen and wait until the demo starts. You will now see the uncut demo with more scenes.
Anyhow here are some Shots.

Just to prove it works ;)  ;)
Dead or Alive 2 Runnining on chankast, I set my age to 99 (extra wobbly b00bi3s) and got 9th in survival and entered my name as REALDEMO, then just let it run into demo mode, though frankly is it really worth the effort ;)
Please note, this is nawty :eyemove:
