I have not seen any forum covering this. Why is hotmail accounts banned from this forum? It is legal. It is e-mail based. I have too use my fathers e-mail adress and therefore i cannot see if anyone sends me any messenges.

Damn until i get home i can solve this i hope.

Hotmail accounts are banned for the simple fact that they're abundant and easy to obtain. When a member is banned from these boards, their email address is banned as well. If Hotmail were allowed, all they'd have to do to circumvent the ban would be get a new email from Hotmail.

It's caused severe problems in the past. So, we had no choice but to block it. The same goes for Yahoo and other popular free webmail providers.

It's not like you can't ask a board Administrator to change your email to your Hotmail address after you've signed up with a valid email.

Because people who get banned can easily re-register with another email account. Personally, I think Hotmail is spam-infested bull**** anyway, so I'd never use it - I even use my standard email address for MSN Messenger so I don't have to resort to the hotmail.
