I seem to have a strange glitch and don't know how to resolve it. In the game my fonts are always black even in a dark background.

I used Rice's Plugin 5.4.3, Rice's 5.2.0 and glN64 all gave this glitch.
my video card is a Geforce 4 FX 5200

if you need more info let know and how to find it I'm knew with this emulator

Thanks

gln64 looks perfect on my card, but Rice's has some a similar problem with the N (though font is fine). Try updating to the latest forceware drivers.

Shot 1: GlN64 1.4.1 Shot 2: Rice's 5.4.3

You think this might be a G-Force driver problem then?

I have used this nGL 1.4.1 driver to the same effect. Downloading Force ware as I type. Update forthcoming. . .

No Good the Vid drivers don't seem to have been the problem. . . anyother ideas?

-Update to Forceware 56.55 WHQL from Guru3D.com

-Try using the Pixel Shader combiner in Rice's and enable Software T&L. Software clipper may also help.

-Jabo's plugin should have no problems at all with Ocarina of Time.

I'm sorry my ignorance is showing . . . Where do I find this said "Pixel Shader?" And with the software T&L you must mean I need to use the Direct X portion of the driver.

On a side note Jabo's plugin does work but it keeps having slowdowns. . which is disturbing since I have the setting at 800x600.

My system config is runs the Atholon XP 1900+; g-force 4 fx5200; 1gig ram running on a GA-7N400-L1 . . . why slowdowns is it direct x?

Strange.. your computer probably whips mine and I get no slowdown no matter what video/sound plugins. If worst comes to worst you may have to format.. :bounce:

I wouldn't say format, probably just use different drivers and/or close everything that running.

Format ?! NO NOT THAT !!!! *SCREAMS* ya I know I've been thinking I need to reformat but have beeen putting it off for obvious, frustrating, annoying, tedious, monotonous reasons which I'm sure you are well aware of. . .

thanks for the reinforcement. . . format it is /cry

If you don't want to dred formats anymore, just partition your HD so you can back up onto another partition before you format again. If that is, you decide to format. FDisk is your frieeeeend. :)
