I didn't say anything even remotely along the lines of "You call this an emulator? It can barely run at 60 fps on my broken 386!" I politely asked for a rough estimation of the progress of this marvelous emulator. Don't lynch me.

The emu has been out for only a few days, give it more time, it takes time to code an emulator as complex as this one. I'd be thankful that the authors released a binary so early on in development frankly. Help the authors by testing out some games! :)

Once again, I am not exhibiting impatience, I am merely asking, very politely, for more information, come when it will.
To further press the logic behind my question: The creators of this emulator have waited for a fairly late stage in its development before releasing binaries, and I'd like to know if I should expect the same in the future. Will the next version I see be a nearly complete one in six to twelve months, or will it be a slightly more functional one in a few weeks? I will not complain either way, I'd just like to know. If the author knows, that is.

we understand you were beeing polite. IINM i answered in a somewhat polite kinda way. you need to understand that these kind of thread happen alot and it gets annoying. we cant give raugh approximations, even the authors cant.

Well seeing as how they posted shots as they made progress on the emulator i would say it be a while, but don't be surprised if you see more shots show up later from them showing other stuff running, they have made quite a stride in this emulator and am glad they are continuing ahead. Also welcome to the boards Dorfl.

We will release the next version when / if we feel it's good enough. We do the project just for fun. As for me i'm right now taking a small break from it and since university schoolwork is ramping up now i will be able to code a little bit less.
