Well, just in case you forgot and haven't noticed, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition is out in Japan and Gamespot as usual has previewed it.
http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/hypersf2/index.html
They got 3 public and one exclusive videos for download too.
It does look like the World Warriors have that damage advantage. But the videos seem to be made while playing at a low difficulty level, so it's hard to say. And as the preview mentioned, the new remixed music might take some getting used to, thankfully you can opt for the originals.
I wonder if it can be played at WW speed tho, that'd be interesting :)

This is just an aniversiary edition. I already have it. It's alright, but it's not worth it if you already have Super SFII somewhere. Yes you can play it at original speed.

Versions of SF I know of:
Street Fighter
Street Fighter II.
Street Fighter II Championship edition
Street Fighter II Turbo Edition (aka Hyper Highting)
Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers
Super Street Fighter II X (aka Turbo)
Hyper Street Fighter II: Aniversiarry edition
Street Fighter Alpha 1-3
Street Fighter III
Street Fighter III Second impact
Street Fighter III Third Strike

You mean Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha? The one with Shin Gouki and Evil Ryu as playable characters? I thought that was just a hack like Rainbow and Red Wave on the original boards. The Naomi version of SFA3 if it exists would likely be little more than a cosmetic change, if at all, to the original SFA3

Zero 2 Alpha arcade version was released in Asia only. But when it was ported to Playstation, it was also released worldwide in the Street Fighter Collection as Alpha 2 Gold. It's not a 3rd party hack, just another minor update.
