CDROM problem

I'm using Creative 52x CDROM.
When my CDRom spin up/down the game stop.
How can i fix this?
If i use 4x or 8x CDRom(psx use this speed), can i fix this problem ?

A psx has a 2x cd. If you use petes cd plugin w/this option and the drive supports it it will fix the problem.
