which games are online for the gamecube?

Indeed, PSO Ep II/III... are those the only online titles for the GC (just wondering... GC isn't my strong area) ?

PSO is the only official game that I know of, but there is Warp Pipe (http://www.warppipe.com/) that allows games that have LAN support to be played over the online. So far that is only Kirby Air Ride, Mario Kart Double Dash and soon 1080°: Avalanche. The program is still in beta so there are probably bugs.

i'm actually considering picking up a Gamecube now that they are $100...totally forgot it had online capabilites :p...hopefully they get some good games on it...do you need any special adaptors or anything?

You have to buy the Modem... but I'd wait a bit more before doing so, getting it just for 4-5 games isn't a nice deal...
