Hi folks,
hate to admit it, but this must be dead. We've heard nothing about it since it's RELEASE, and that was a-ways back now.
Hey, I'm not one of these people who think that an emu author owes us anything - _SF_ showed us it can be done, and hats off to him. That said, it's time to call a spade a spade...

umm....maybe he's working on it? _SF_ didnt badger us with 1000 alphas and betas...he just came right out and showed us it worked. maybe he's working on something big?

exactly. Xeon came to us right out of nowhere. If thats the way he works, he could be coding and make another release and take us by surprise.
ohh and an emu aint dead till the author says its dead

Well this can be good and bad but still _SF_ amazed us once and I think he will again.

Some of you people are so impatient. Why can't you just let the man work or not work. If he's making it still maybe he is trying to perfect it making it run the BIOS or a handfull of commercial games. Or maybe he's taking a vacation or maybe he ditched the project ...
Whatever the outcome there is a reason for it. If you piss off the authors by asking is it dead? or whens it gonna be out? Then they will piss you off by ditching it.
Sorry if I sound passionate about this but I am sick of people asking these questions. Threads like this get closed all the time and I think some Admins could add this one to the pile.

yeah. honestly i think this is a stupid thread. asking for the emulator, speculating about it...that will only make it a longer wait if anything at all. i hope this thread is closed, as it is pointless.

This is being a bit disrespectful to _SF_. I think those looking forward to X-Box emulation have become a bit too accustomed to caustik's regular releases. They expect all other X-Box emus to be this way. What they don't realize is that emu authors are real people and have lives just like everybody else. So, it's understandable that we don't hear from them for an extended period of time. Take ePSXe into account, which is only updated about once a year or JNes, which had been presumed to be dead before we suddenly started seeing new releases from Jabo not long ago.
Please, don't start assuming things just because we haven't seen a release in X amount of days. You can speculate no better than anybody else and it does no good to hold a thread on such topics, because in the end, it's all up to the authors themselves.
It's for that reason that I'm going to go ahead and close this thread. Like the other members have said, it serves no purpose.
