What the hell happened to Detonator 4?

I thought it was supposed to be out by now, but I haven't seen any releases or further coverage concerning the new nVidia driver since the press got it and told us "It's coming"

Anyone have a clue? Fill me in! Please.

I believe nVidia will be releasing (if they haven't already) a new detonator version that optimizes GeForce 3 performance. They'll be releasing them at the launch date of ATI's Radeon 8500 to spoil its' release. I don't know if it'll be the Detonator 4 drivers though.

Not just GeForce 3, but all Geforce family - sorry for TNT2 family - free performance from 3%-50% increase. Rumor has it that they going to release Detonator 4 sometime in September.

Early versions of the Det4's were released to hardware review sites to spoil ATi's new product announcements. They'll be released soon enough.
