Track & Field (international) & memcard problem

What's wrong with Track & Field International. It starts fine, when it gets to "Now Checking memory card". Loading stops there and, the "Now Checking..." text flashes endlessly. Other games works fine. ePSXe 1.4.0. I have tried all plugins but always the same thing. Any ideas?

Actually, if I use "-nomemcard" command, it works, so it has to concern somehow memcards... It works fine, but no records can be saved....
