actually....you are half right. they look the same. media player 6.4 comes with every version of windows. Media Player Classic is an entirely new, update program that plays divx, xvid, etc and doesnt use directshow codecs :D , but it looks the same, so people get confused.

media player classic is REALLY great, i think its SO much better than windows media player

what kind of videocard do you have?

by the way dont use mplayer2...its old, crappy, and doesnt even play mp3 files

try taking off "use special renderer..." option too

ok, dont use mplayer2 ever again. its horrible.

second, you dont get what we are saying. media player classic will load your subtitle files....playing in divx is just going to cancel that all out

a) mplayer classic wont laod my subtitle, it keep telling me to change the render option which I have done it like 10 times.

b) even if it loads subtitle, whats good about it if the output is garbage?

mplayer classic wont laod my subtitle, it keep telling me to change the render option which I have done it like 10 times.Works fine if you have on VMR7/9 mode (which you need DX9 installed to use... possibly even WMP9). See attached imageeven if it loads subtitle, whats good about it if the output is garbage?Have you tried using FFDshow?
