First, I know I can't ask for BIOS files, and I'm not.

I have two questions:
1) What programs do ya'll use to make .ISO's? I tried ISObuster, but it doesn't appear to be able to extract the DVD content. ISOproducer doesn't actually work - it cannot detect my DVD drive.

2) Is it possible to "rip" the bios from my PS2? However, it is my understanding that the BIOS is not needed at this moment...

1. You could try other programs like CloneCD (I think there's a CloneDVD as well), CDRWin, and Alcohol 120%.

2. Yes it is possible to rip the bios from your PS2. You have to get some special software and some special semi expensive USB cable. You can use the PS2 bios in PCSX2 if you want to or you can use the internal HLE bios but you can't use a PS2 bios in PCSX.

I would suggest you Alcohol 120%. It's a DVD cloner, with CloneCD capability and virtual CD / DVD ROM bundled.

For BIOS rip, it can be done but you need special hardware as n_w95482.

not only is downloading the BIOS illegal and thus against the rules, you revived a post that's over 2 years old.

you'll need to dump your BIOS yourself.
