Version 1.6a:
Core changes:
- fixed bug introduced in previous fix to CpuFastSet/CpuSet
- fixed slowdown caused by attempt to speed up emulation
Windows:
- fixed bug when selecting the same render type
- disabled enhanced save type detection

Hey Forgotten, I've heard of a VBA port for ps2 called ps2boy advance, since vba is made by you, do you know anything? The site is here (http://ps2boy.ps2newz.net/) but it's not ready know.

slowdown caused by attempt to speed up I don't know why I find that line so amusing. ;)

- I am not responsible for ports.
- This version will behave the same way as version 1.5.1 did. Version 1.6 would not loose anything if the enhanced save type detection was disabled as posted in the website

It was mentioned on the main page. If you didn't, some games would not save.
This was not because of the emulator's fault, but those are patched or hacked in how they save.

Not really useless, it's a bit faster that VBA, plus you don't have to sort through all your GBA roms when trying to get to your GB/GBC ones. Still, those are minor advantages.

Have you tried using the Open Gameboy... option instead? VBA allows a directory for GBA and another for GB/GBC/SGB.

I usually use the open gameboy option when I open a gb/gbc rom (I had forgotten about it when I posted), but I didn't realize VBA allowed seperate directories? I've always just tossed all my gb/gbc/gba roms into the same folder.

I'm getting slowdowns in this version that I wasn't getting in 1.5.x, especially in Lufia: Ruins of Lore (in the second town)
Any tips for speedup? Using 800mhz AMD Athlon, 384MB RAM, GeForce4 Ti4200 AGP. Tried using other render methods but it doesn't improve on the slowdowns.

Use frameskip 2 is the best I can recommend with 16-bit display mode and no filters (maybe tv-mode can help, but not always). DirectDraw rendering should be the fastest.
