I already figgured out the iternal clock thing, if anyone read my post i deleted. sorry about that. but i have a new problem, my save game tends to corrupt itself alot. it gives me a message at the begining saying that "the current save game is corrupt, and cannot be used. prevous saved game will now be loaded"

something like that, wtf is goin on?

I played pokemon sapphire and it happens to me too, but it loads the correct saved data, so i think it's only a very little bug in what the games are using to ckeck the save info.

It all works well with version 1.5+, but be sure that you have it set to Flash save type with 128K flash size and real time clock enabled.

it may take another save and restart to get rid of the message.

One word: savestates. Using normal saves in an emulator is often problematic. Several games are very picky about what format you must use (and the automatic setting doesn't adjust properly or quickly enough or whatever), the medabots RPG won't load saves in VBA (although it will in boycott advance), it says there's a problem with the save and forces you to start a new game. Savestates on the other hand always work.

is this a problem with all or most games or just this one?

None of the above. The majority of games save without difficulties, but there are several that have problems.

You have to understand that automatic save detection is not possible in all cases. Games have been trying to detect flash cards and stop running in those cases.

Pirate groups decide to release a patched rom instead of the original save code, etc...

Don't blame the emulator for this kind of problem. The emulator should allow any save type that currently exists to work.

If there is a specific game that doesn't work, you can always override the settings for that game by using the vba-over.ini file described in the readme.
