problems with gt1

Looks like you have a scratched CD my friend.... my Chrono Cross CD does that too now :(

First I would try another CDROM plugin. epsxe cdr ASPI core 1.4.0 works for me with GT1 and GT2.
If that doesn't work there is a high probability that the CD is scrathed.
Are other games running without the error messages? if yes that would reinforce the bad CD theory.
