When I load game I get this message:
"The internal battery has run dry. The game can be played.
However, clock-based events will no longer accur."

You need the Clock fix patch. I would attach it but for some reason I can't. You could find it on Google.

There is no need for a patch. Just enable the Real Time Clock support under Options->Emulator (or use the vba-over.ini file described in the readme)

lol....you people are behind on the times. with the latest release of VisualBoy, there is a integrated option to emulate the time mechanism. However, you will still get an error about a corrupted save file, but I don't notice to many problems with my Sapphire version

There is no day/night cycle. It was in other pokemon games (gold, silver).
Is this normal?

There is no day/night graphical difference. For some reason, they decided not to do it.
