DO NOT READ IF YOU DON"T WANT THE MOVIE SPOILED!

It was nice to have the big crane crashing scene that was in the trailer happen in the begining of the movie... It really set the pace. Although seeing that thing drive with the outriggers out was very funny indeed. Especially the part where it went up on one set of wheels. the whole crane hook thing in the manhole was pretty sweet too.

I was happy that the movie didnt rely on special effects so much to tell the story. T2 was a good story, but lets face it, the effects made it what it was.

I thought it was also amusing that the T-X had like 4 lines the entire movie. I didn't DISLIKE the hairstyle she sported throuhout the movie, but I have always been partial to the look she had when she did the whole time travel thing, right before she stole the Lexus.

The whole remote cop car was a downer; it just didn't JIVE right with me.

Arnold wearing the star glasses from the gay stripper was hysterical. I loved it! As was the 'Talk to the hand' line during their stop at the AM-PM.

I appreciated the irony of sending the T-101 that assassinated John Conner back to protect him. I especially liked the "I terminated you' line.

I don't specifically remember the head-doctor from T-2. (the one that freaked out when arnold showed up carrying the coffin) Was he the guy that Linda Hamilton stabbed with the pen?

Seeing the T-1 was kinda cool as well. we get to see the orgins.

By far though, the best scene was when the T-X was stuck to the particle accellerator. that whole melting thing was wikkid.

The entire move was fast-paced. it didn't even seem to be 90 minutes long before the credits. Heck it took me longer to assemble the movie than to watch it. Fortunately WB shipped the film with all the reels heads out, which made for an easy assembelage.

Well more thoughts later...

better than terminator 2...now thats hard to top..and if its really good it may be the first sseries of movies where the 2nd beats the 1st and the 3rd beats the second...very rare...normally by 3 they just run out ideas and have random fighting :p

I just watched it. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the movie was. It didn't fall into a cliche-ridden one-man saves the universe type of plot line which I initially expected it to be.

Bottom line, SEE IT!!!

Nah... Arnold in the female strip club kicked me hard in the nutsack. Arnold wearing those star-shaped glasses was classic. :thumb:

I saw this movie today, it was great. I didnt think that they'd be able to pull of a woman terminator, but they did. She was as cold blooded and heartless as the T-1001. I wish the movie had the same grayish tint and feeling as the first two, but it didnt. Guess that's cause James Camron wasnt working on it. Still was pretty good. Loved seeing Silvermen again. The movie was pretty funny in someparts, loved the star glasses part. That was funny. The action scenes were great. I loved the part when the T-101 is hanging off the crane and when he fights the T-X in the bathroom. Since the eairly 90s action movies have sucked with only 1 or 2 good ones every now and again like the matrix or xmen, was great to see an action movie this great after all these years. Like I said, it was great, but I still felt there was something missing, just cant put my finger on it.

WHat was missing was the happy ending. All the movies are about achieving a specific goal. Only to find out that the goal was unattainable in part 4. They could easily make a T4, a direct sequel of t3. Arnold wouldn't even need to star in it.

That's kinda a spoiler, you should put a warning.

The endind was made to make a sequel, just like the Matrix ha the ending that was made sure for a sequel.

back to T3...
They could easily make a T4. it would be a direct sequel to T3. It could even start 15 minutes after T3 ended. Plus if it were to take place in the future, the T-101s wouldn't need to look like Arnold, just the part they showed with the T-101 army. Heck Robert Patrick isn't famous enough to demand a big bucket of cash, he could play the T-1000 again. Plus Claire Danes and that bud Bundy lokking John Conner would probably be up for a T4.

Why hasn't Linda Hamilton made a movie in a while?

Sorry to resurrect this somewhat old thread but just thought I'd contribute, having just seen the movie a while ago.

The endind was made to make a sequel, just like the Matrix ha the ending that was made sure for a sequel.
On the contrary I don't think the ending shows much for a sequel. The terminator movies are pretty much about terminators going back into the past to kill John Conner before he becomes the leader of the resistance. The ending of T3 is pretty much the start of the resistance and it kind of completes the loop in a sense (John Conner will become the leader of the resistance in the future, now he is the leader and this is the future). We can pretty much imagine what will happen now, it's pretty conclusive. No real reason for a sequel, unless they want to show the war between the human resistance and machines. The only potential sequel I can think of would be at the very end of the resistance, when the machines will (presumably) be conquered. Heh, I can just imagine hundreds of Arnold Schwarzeneggars (T-101s) on a battlefield, fighting against their superior counterparts :eyespin: .

My opinion. The movie simply ruled. I liked the part when Arnold wore those star glasses and when he hit the firetruck........"I'll drive" ;)
The hook and manhole thing was simply fantastic. About the ending, well; if they can release a sequel to T2 then there is a possibilty here as well. But please, pick some other guy for John Connery.....

Usually the sign for a good movie in the end is that you never wanted it to end. It was over rather quickly....

About the female terminator, well robots have males and females too? oO

And if they want to release a T4 then they chould do it a bit quickly. Arnold will get pretty old if they take another 10 years for T4 :p

He won't look that "solid".

I liked the part where Dr. Silverman was counselling Kate Brewster and sees Arnold. Good humour. :D And the action was superb.
I thought T2 was better for the first watching though. There's just something lacking in T3, the James Cameron atmosphere maybe. :heh:
No matter, just watching Arnold was enough. (Arnold fan here) :)

I think that's what was missing, me and some people I know felt that way.

hm, guess i missed this thread, i saw it about 2 weeks ago, very nice movie, especially in the begining in the strip club, the sunglasses, and when he's scanning the women's clothing :D

i think the only thing missing was a night scene with a few guns, coulda made it that when they bust into the skynet building it coulda been around 4am and they coulda made a gunshooting scene like in the first matrix on the bottom floor of the skyscraper, anyways, very good movie, very interesting ending... aside from lotr and i suppose matrix 1 its the only movie so far this decade to give me an adrenaline rush after watching it ;)

N1ghtw0lf
July 17th, 2003, 12:21
they clarified in the second movie exactly the time that skynet was activated and the date...so they couldn't ahve done that...i think he said it in the second movie when he's talking to miles dyson...and it wouldn't ahve been effected by destroying the chips and the arm because he made the robots himselves :)...at least i think i remember him saying it
