Obtaining a Signiture image [Archive]

ok well first of all i gotta say congrats to the admins of this site..this v2.0 stuff looks a lot fancier, and in my opionion, better...

i kinda thought that this PC screenshots area was closest related to put my thread about gettin an image for my sig...

well if anyone is nice and enough and good enough and knows wtf therye doign with some decent imaging software...would anyone midn creating a simple image for my sig for me???

Well, it's not something difficult if you want to try. At the first I just confused, but later I found myself with this avatar [taken from Final Fantasy X : Featuring Rikki] cuz I'm the biggest FF music fans :p

of course i dont mind lol i made it for u :P

and i used Photoshop for this one. Quite an easy effect that i love to use. it requires around 5-6 steps :)

Well, I love Final Fantas musics, so I think it would be nice if related / taken from FF music. BTW, a Square Musics logo [a harp] and orange background like this would be nice too for me :p

im not sure what you meant, i could make you a sig but i'd need to know what its about, if its about ninjas i'd prefer a "beverly hills ninja" theme :p (its the old chris farley ninja comedy)

Well, I usually try to stick to my own work even though I know it is as simple as you can get but I like it as I made it myself, including the avatar. But I am really impressed with what ppl can do in a 500x100.

BTW, I don't think that this thread is in the right forums.....

There is alot more satisfaction when you make your own, and each one you make you learn from. Nobody is good overnight, I have been using PSP, and PS for years and still learning.

Well, in this case I also learning PS and PSP. But still my skill not too good compared to others, and I must admit Toriyama's better than me in this section. I don't mind using my original signature, that was made by myself ... but I want some, new, and fresh design that I could not find / made it by myself, so this is happend.

just got here, those are damn huge sigs, i dunno if they'll take em down later though, i remember bobbi saying

Because of popular requests, I coded a small signature management script for our message board. It allows you to upload a 500x120 pixels signature with a maximum file size of 20 KB in the formats JPEG and PNG. Feel free to use this signature on other message boards as well, remote linking is enabled and will stay like that if we don't find too many users abusing it. So head over to the signature hosting script.

Thanks a lot Chrono Archange. I would only change the left part of the pic with a more colorful drawing but this is ok. Still it looks good.
Btw, i believed the uploading sig from the hd system was solved. I guess i will wait a little more. What is the ngemu sig uploader?

And Strider. Anything is welcomed :) Thinking about it it would be a good sig.

At last I finished the sig images for GnS, it took ... a month or something? Dunno. I guess it took that time because I had several other things to in this periode and I really thought about how to advance my previous works.

Meaning: The tree stands for the calm feeling often caused by the music of square.

Meaning: I tried to design this harp in a typical Final Fantasy style to connect it with the logo of Squaremusic.

I hope at last one of this images appeal to GnS's taste. And don't shy asking me if I just could edit your old sig a lil'bit. Its all a matter of taste.

All self-made and done in Photoshop, as usual.

yeah, very nice, did you use two layers for the pictures in the middle and use a spectral gradient to colour it or did you paint it all?

I used the path (dunno how to call it in eng.) function to create and model the colorelements (I used a preparatory drawing for that). Then I made a selection and used the gradient tool. Thats all. One layer for the background of the image and one for the color.

ahh i see, i think they are called paths here too, the only other tool i can see remotely likely to your description would be channels, although its probably the path tool

...just came back to this thread i started....well i dont think i could care less about others using this thread...well actually it makes me proud that my thread is important enough for 4 whole pages!!! :)

i came back to this to redl my sig image so i could post it on another site...as many people ahve noticed hostmysig.com is being lame...im hosting it, now, at www.dfhq.net
i dont suppose anyone has anything good/bad has about these two sites...other then hostmysig.com has some sort of bw cap...
