Well, my next website is going to use a portal and im probably going to use Keith's portal when its done, but for now i was considering PostNuke. I was just wondering who here has a website using that portal.

Umm tryed i uploaded on 56K but the server didn't like it so i use xoops and i can't wait for keiths portal to be done

Don't usee postnuke, all portals suck IMO. It's better if you make it on your own like Bobbi did, even if you dont know much of PHP.

well i dont know enough to create one myself. for now im waiting for Keiths portal. but i heard alot of good things for Post-Nuke

what is that post nuke? I only know of phpnuke

Agreed. Keith's portal is gonna rox you box when its done :)

phpnuke is ok though, i've used it a little and its not something that will make you go "wow!"...

There is alotta portals out, just check http://www.hotscripts.com.

I'm still going with my own portal like thingie.

well not all scripts are portals. if you go on hotscripts youll see theres a section for portals. there also called CMS Content Management System

i thought a CMS did downloads news and pretty much anything else on the site, the name says it all :)
CONTENT MANAGEMENT system not portal portals are just away of creating a quick homepage but cms controls and in somecases is the whole site :)
click the sig for a perfect example of a portal ;)

yeah guess your right, but they usually have the same features.

as i said content management manages the portal and site the portal just displays it all nicely for people to look at :)
