this is gonna sound very funny, but when bleem! released bleemcast i first thought it was a dreamcast emulator! :emb: but it was just a way to play GT2 and MGS in dreamcast......

so i was wondering, will there ever be a working dreamcast emulator?

Sure.... but don't expect it anytime soon, and you'd probably need some pretty serious hardware to run it on....
maybe... a K9-5.5Ghz + GeForce 5.... :D

There are Dreamcast emulation projects already.. Dreamer (which runs one commercial game in the current private builds), Dreamemu (runs a bunch of demos), and boob!cast (runs a bunch of demos).

The last one is being written by an old acquaintence of mine, so I'm especially interested in it's progress.

I doubt we'll see anything highly usable for at least another year..

has anyone tried this out? i dont have the hardware for this emulator, so i haven't really tried.

Sorry to disappoint you....

Plus, there's no way someone could create a near-perfect DC emulation in the year 1999.... heck, it even took us THIS long to get a near perfect PSX emulation. :D

PS: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
