problem with tekken 3

when i run tekken 3. it starts up as normal then when i get to the namco intro screen, it shuts down, as if hitting the escape key. i can not tell you off hand what the dos window says because i am currently at work.
any ideas though on whey it would be doing this? i am running the normal cd with the default settings in psxeven
