Well, it seems I can't play more than 1 game at a time in this emulator 'cause once I play another game, my save is lost, any help?

I don't see any reason for you to loose saves. Just be aware that if you are using the in game save function, then you must SAVE in the game or you won't be able to continue. You may be experiencing problems if your directory for storing battery saves is not correctly set.
Use save states which are more reliable and you can save at any point.

I really don't know what the problem is. I don't use save states.
For example, I was playing TO:KoL against the final boss which kicked my rear so, I decided to play another game and when I returned to it, my save was gone.

Options->emulator->directories Make sure the directories it points to for battery and save game really exist, change them if need be.
I wonder if it might be a problem with your savetype settings? Options->emulator->save type Check automatic and 64k (those settings work well for me). If it's already set to that, try changing the settings and see if it has any effect.
Finally, I highly recommend the use of save states, at least as a backup save. Just hit shift+F1 to save and just F1 to load.

or you use save states to replace save points..that's my suggestion.

There was some version of VBA that had a bug where it would loose saves, but this has been fixed recently. Just be sure to be running version 1.5

Well, I've had some time to check what is going on and I only discovered that if I exit the program and start it up again, it changes the rom's internal save. So, I just have to do that until it has my last save.

What version of VBA are you running? Can you explain more on what you found?
I haven't receive any new complaints on saves, so you are the only one seeing this as far as I know.

Perhaps answering the questions asked might help you have a resolution more quickly to your problem. Specifically asked what version are you running of VBA. IE 1.5.0 1.5.1 1.4.. etc.
What Forgotten is suggesting is that it might have been fixed and you can just upgrade to a newer version of VBA to resolve said problem. Perhaps information about the directory setup you have as well?
Forgotten: Perhaps like Pete has in his plugins a copy to clipboard button for settings might be helpful for seeing 'what's up' in future versions? :)

I have versions 1.1, 1.3.1, 1.4.1, 1.5a, and 1.5.1, and I have never had that problem with any of them. Most likely, it's a glitch in either your copy of the prog itself, or in your settings. If you already have it set to use an ini file, delete it and let it create a new one. If you're using the registry, either find and delete the registry key or switch to an ini file. There's a strong chance that forcing VBA to start with a clean slate will clear up your problem.

I have a problem alot like that. What happens is i try to save and it gives me an error that says "error creating file". My battery saves give me the same thing. I tried with diffrent save slots. All I know is I transferred the files off my old cpu to my new one and therein lies the problem. None of my games will save.

Greyfox- It's probably a directories issue (especially since it started after you copied it to a new comp). If you had it in C:\VBA\games before and now you have it in D:\windows\desktop\VBA, it's probably trying to save in the C:\VBA\games directory (which doesn't exist on the new comp). Go options->emulator->directories and make sure the folder it points to for the saves exists on that computer.

I discovered the problem. If while transferring files, you burn them to a cd, all save states become read only. If you try to change that setting through the properties of the file it won't work. Load all your saves and save them to a diffrent folder. then just delete the old ones. This even works for batterysaves. Change directories or do a save state and delete the battery save to get this to work properly for batts. Hope this answers anyones questions.
