I just got one of those cases yesterday and need some help.
http://thermaltake.com/products/xaser3/v1000a.htm
in that page, there's something called "PCI long card bracket" what is that for?
at first, I thought it was for cleaning the filter. Anyone knows?
something else, this case has a front audio and been having problems connecting the cables. Since Im using my trusty audigy do I have to install the ac97 drivers for the front audio to make it work?
Pleaseconsultyourmotherboardmanualtofindoutthesect ionof" frontpanelaudio connector".1.connect"MIC-VCC"to"MICPOWER" or" MICPWR" onyourmotherboard2.connect"MIC-IN"to"MICINPUT" or"MIC2" onyour motherboard.3.connect"GND"to"GROUND" or"AGND" onyour motherboard.4.connecttwo"EARL"to"BLINE_OUT_ L"and"Lineout_ L".5.connecttwo"EARR" to"BLINE_OUT_R"and" Lineout_ R".
I dont understand this....
plus, the cables from the case it just says " ear L, ear R, ear L, and ear R.....
nothing about line out and stuff....

the bracket seems to be attached to the inside of the side fans, just to add physical support for a heavy PCI card, which is rare. Not particularly useful I'd say.

i dont know about the plugger majiggers...but i just looked up your case on newegg...and let me tell you i think thats a bit extravagent for a case...i spent $30 USD on mine... but then yours comes with like 8 fans , *****in case, and cool little fan controller thing on the front...but according to newegg it dont even come with power supply and its $200 USD dollars...i almost pissed myself...you find a gold mine in your basement or something man? 9700 pro and this? thats like...a lot more than ill see in the next 10 years that i could spend on a computer

it has 7 fans not 8
I needed this case because my old case was making too much noise, ask phoenix and since the computer is next to my brother's room he couldn't sleep because of the noise. The power supply doesn't cost more than 130 down here.
not a gold mine. I just had the money to spend on this thingy. Plus, my brother is helping me with the power supply.

you bought the case, OMG, seems as D.D. says that you've been kind of upgrading like if money wouldn't matter j/k.
Your old case can be heard from the street.
Just for the record the temperature here has been 35°C to 38°C these days obviously affects AMD built systems.

yeah, it could be heard from the street... damn case
but this one, sounds makes less noise than the last case. I just have to wait for the power supply to arrive.
But yeah, I do care about my money  have to buy some clothes now ;)

Well, I really don't know, but here's my guess:
If you are using an Audigy, and disable your mobo sound, then you shouldn't connect the cables to your mobo, right? But I don't know if Audigy has a connector inside for those cables. Consult your Audigy user manual. :emb:

thanks takwu
I will check that out
but I doubt that audigy has those.
