There is a plugin for the PS2 emus that 'runs' games from the DVD. CDVDXeven. Get it from http://batard.psxfanatics.com

According to Xeven, it doesn't actually read DVD's right now, just CD's. Also it doesn't even detect my DVD-ROM drive, maybe others are having more luck.

My Toshiba DVD/CD-RW is detected perfectly, in ASPI mode (I've the latest Adaptec ASPI) and in IOCTL one (I use W2k). So, I guess it's a problem w/ your OS: have u installed any ASPI drivers?

Thx, bye

At some point, I don't remember when. I'm using Win98, so that's probably why...

I have a Toshiba SD-1612 DVD and Win98SE and installed ASPI-Drivers. My drive is detected correctly.

1. Xeven's plugin seems to have problems on win98. it works on NTs (2k, xp).
2. it does work with dvd drives, but dvd discs does not work atm because there is no support in the emu for them. dvd discs use a different filesystem than cds.
