well, i tried it and for some funny reason during the normal game play but not during the mdecs, slow down to 25-30 fps occurs.

anybody got any ideas? or is this a common occurance?

Are you running from the CD? Maybe you could try running it as an ISO instead. Use IsoBuster to extract the CD to an image on your hard disk and use the RUN ISO option.
