I don't get it. While there are many projects of 8-bit, 16-bit, even playstation game translations (jap to english) there not even ONE for a n64 game. Why is that? Is it technically much more difficult? Or the motive is missing? I could think of some very interesting games that would benefit of dejapanization (eg. Wonder Project 2). Any thoughts?

Well, I don't understand the n64 system to know if the translations are hard to make, but but at least some knowledge is necessary (hex editing, creating ips files, etc). I'm sure it must be harder than making 8-bit and 16-bit translations, which makes very few people available for doing it (the person must have the necessary documentation the time, and above all: the will to make the translation, which is a very tiring job). Check the PSX for example. There is hardly any translation available, and IMO the PSX has much more games that deserves to be translated than the n64.

I've been able to change the text in a few Japanese games to English, however as I have no idea what the japanese means theres not much use in me doing that :p Some games are quite easy, but others are difficult due to things like compression being used (Sin and Punishment uses compression). Animal Forest doesnt and its simple to change its text (with some knowledge anyway), knowing japanese would be useful :p
