Hello. I'm using epsxe 1.4, and whenever I try to exit by
pressing esc, the screen turns black and I have to reboot my computer....

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I didn't do anything in the executor..... I don't make the epsxe window pop up.... It seems the main epsxe window menu is what is causing the crashes on my comp... executor allows you to play without opening the epsxe window and it doesn't crash..... weird I know, but it works.. Haven't crashed epsxe ever since...

fivefeet8, to see if that's the case you could open epsxe with a shortcut. Go to the shortcut properties and make the target say this "...epsxe\epsxe.exe -nogui" this starts epsxe without the main window. It just shows the DOS window.
