Sorry for this Newb question, but I would like to know if the program has to have data written for x8 SAI for it to work or if the grfx card such as Radeon 9700 does it by itself? And, if the program does require it than why don't they implement it? Can they?

Ummm..... 8x Sai doesn't exist to my knowledge. If you are talking about 2xSai, it's a program thing, nothing to do with the graphics card. If you are talking about 8xFSAA, thats a driver/ card specific setting.
2xSai is already implemented.
8xFSAA would have no effect on Visual boy Advance, a 2d program.

Yes 8xFSAA I thought it was 8xSAI sorry. Would 8xFSAA effect PSX/DC/SS Games?

8xFSAA does look pretty nice for PSX games. Please check some posts by fivefeet8 in the psx screen shots forum :)

2xSai is a 2d image enhancement tech FYI, and is implemented in PEOPs and Pete's plugins.
8xFSAA will improve quality in hardware rendering in PSX games (using a plugin like Pete's OpenGl/D3D).
I don't know if the Saturn emus use hardware acceleration (I don't think they do) if they do, you can take advantage of FSAA
DC emus don't exist at the moment, so that is academic.
Unfortunately, at the moment, the highest you can go on a Radeon 9500 or above is 6xFSAA. The nVidia chips above GeForce 3s can do 8xS FSAA by a registry hack using a tool like RivaTuner or aTuner.

yes fsaa (set to max on atuner) is SWEEET!!! top that off with a pair of 3d glasses and some of the psx games are blowing me away. I use E-Dimensional 3d glasses but only a few games seem to be affected by them in a good way, that and some games won't run unless you enable 3d after begining a game (jetmoto) and even then may stop...

GFX has 8xFSAA and I am getting it.. Anyways, does anyone have screenshots of what 8xFSAA would do on a PSX game?

Crisray posted some shots of it a while back with his GeForce 4. 8xS is only avaliable in D3D if you play in OpenGL, it's limited to 4x 9tap.
