Well, I didn't think that any native speakers would listen to it. :emb: I realize I speak it with a very thick accent.... Thank god my teacher doesn't laugh at me. ;) (although my Japanese friends do... *sigh*) Although hopefully she was laughing about what I said? ;)

Oh no, actually you got it pretty good. It's just that your accent is quite thick, but that's something to be expected from westerners.

But if you ever plan to use it in Japan, better get rid of at least some of it or risk getting weird stares as they try to decipher what you're saying. I myself had a bit of an accent when i first visited Japan, but quickly corrected it after getting laughed at by my female cousins. :p

That's something I actually really have a problem with though. Like I said, I get laughed at whenever I speak it outside of class, but I have no idea what to do about it, as the only role models I have are my classmates and my teacher. :D Besides, I AM Canadian, and I think I would need to learn Engrish before learning true Japanese. That's a lot harder than it sounds. ;)

Windows comes up with an error with my one microphone and the other one doesn't work. I'm going to Office Depot now to see if I can buy a mic.

Edit: Office Depot wanted $39.99 for some crap headphone mic. Office Depot is such a damn ripoff. They have an ATI Radeon 7500 that's been sitting up there for a year and they want $149.99 for it!

Shiori, I have two microphones, I got both for free for buying other stuff. I got one free with my soundcard, and the other was some sort of promotion for Office XP at Future Shop. They were supposed to give them away free with Office XP, but nobody wanted them and they were stuck with a whole bunch, so they just started giving them away with every purchase. :D

EDIT2: Shadow Lady, you sound VERY young. You should get a new microphone so you can show us what you sound like now. :) But you sing nice anyway.

The sound test says: "Honjitsu wa, seiten nari" (Today, we have fine weather). Those are the words the Japanese usually say when testing microphones (i.e., "Testing, mike, 1,2,3...hello, hello)

The second one is:

"Mahoutte ne, dare ka wo shiawase ni suru tame ni aru dayo."
[Magic, it exists to make someone happy, you know.]
