I can't prove it.... but it seems the emu crashes on close because of DX9

like yeloazndevil, it doens't happen to me :confused:, so probably try to reinstall ePSXe or check your W98.

try this it often works...
uninstall EPSXE then use reg clean...
then reinstall...

Ok, I'll try, cuz I'be completly uninstalled DX9, and put DX8.1,
and it didn't help...
But when you say "reinstall", you mean re-unzip right? I don't remember that ePSXe had a setup prog

Doesn't work better... but the newer version of Peops SPU crashes
only once instead of making appear an infinite number of messages...
So now, when I quit, I've an error, but doesn't bother me cuz
it doesn't prevent me to start antother game

Is you graphic hardware compatible with DX 9 or DX 8.1?How did you uninstall DX 9?

It's compatible, but bugs don't come from here, I've formatted last weekend... And reinstalled DX8.1

There is another thing you can try ... install Windows XP.

try installing a different VIA chipset drivers and what are your exact pc specs?

But it's a prob that appeared with absolutely no reason, cuz I played normally before that

Never!!! XP sux, I prefer my old (yeah, buggy) 98SE
Anyway, I just have to do CTRL+alt+del, and click "end of task"...
it's boring but, hey, it works ;)

Download dxbuster, I can't tell you the URL cuz I got it on a CD
it's a very small prog, so it's not too long to download it

uninstalling dx without reinstalling windows is usually giving problems ..
anyway, i have DX9 with windows 2000 service pack 3 , and ePSXe works fine , no prbolems :|
