I can't prove it.... but it seems the emu crashes on close because of DX9
January 8th, 2003, 00:23
hmm thats funny, doesn't happen to me........try reinstalling ePSXe
January 8th, 2003, 00:36
Doesn't happen for me either. I am using the OpenGL plugin however.
January 8th, 2003, 00:38
like yeloazndevil, it doens't happen to me , so probably try to reinstall ePSXe or check your W98.
January 8th, 2003, 13:27
try this it often works...
uninstall EPSXE then use reg clean...
January 8th, 2003, 16:34
Ok, I'll try, cuz I'be completly uninstalled DX9, and put DX8.1,
and it didn't help...
But when you say "reinstall", you mean re-unzip right? I don't remember that ePSXe had a setup prog
Anyway, thx all!!!
January 10th, 2003, 20:55
Doesn't work better... but the newer version of Peops SPU crashes
only once instead of making appear an infinite number of messages...
So now, when I quit, I've an error, but doesn't bother me cuz
it doesn't prevent me to start antother game

I did it... but it didn't help, DAMN!!!!
Maybe it's cuz of the new Via-chipset driver, no?

Is you graphic hardware compatible with DX 9 or DX 8.1?How did you uninstall DX 9?
February 13th, 2003, 17:32
It's compatible, but bugs don't come from here, I've formatted last weekend... And reinstalled DX8.1

February 13th, 2003, 18:54
There is another thing you can try ... install Windows XP.
February 13th, 2003, 18:57
try installing a different VIA chipset drivers and what are your exact pc specs?
February 13th, 2003, 20:08
Specs r in my sig...
But it's a prob that appeared with absolutely no reason, cuz I played normally before that
>>There is another thing you can try ... install Windows XP.
Never!!! XP sux, I prefer my old (yeah, buggy) 98SE
Anyway, I just have to do CTRL+alt+del, and click "end of task"...
it's boring but, hey, it works ;)

Sure, that's a question of preferences...
and you, which one do you prefer?
