Memory Card problems please help

I'm using EPSXE 1.01 and 1.20 for the games Medal of Honor and Final Fantasy VII. In both games i am unable to save because they lock up at the saving dialog after printing the message "checking memory card" a few times. Am I missing something ? I have created a memory card file for both slots with the ePSXecutor "create" button, but the emu doesn't seem to recognise them. This happens with every display/sound plugin i've tried, but now i'm running with Pete's Soft Plugin and Null's Sound DLL. Has anyone experienced the problem or do I make a mistake here ? :confused:

And make sure you play FFVII with version 1.01, since 1.20 will crash on any FMV.

I'm playing FFVII on ePSXe version 1.2.0, and it doesn't crash for me:confused:

ive only heard that 1.2.0 has a problem with "new game" in ff7
and if you still have memcard problems, try aldos memcard manager

thanks to all who replied, i found the solution. I had to create the memcard with the memcard manager program and put more than 2 memcards into the directory. Everything is running smoothly now :)
