We have fairly similar specs (note: fairly) And i use 1964 when i do long term gaming. It gives me an excellent balance of speed and quality, while running very nicely.

I use Jabo's 1.5 for video, Azimer's 0.30 for audio, and Nrage's input. :)

That sound issue is probably because you are getting below the normal FPS, and the sound is trying to sync with the action. There is not a whole lot you can do about this as it is due to either a bottleneck in your system or because the processor is too slow to run, at least THAT particular graphic intensive scene. Ill bet that if you are still having this problem in the game itself, that when you get inside of the Deku Tree, your sound gets better. (I could be wrong, but this is something that I have experienced with a amd k62 500, and celeron 650). Hope this helps.

Also, you must remember that (if you are using a glide wrapper), you are emulating two things at once. This will steal extra processing power from the cpu. you might find that using another emu, that doesn't require a wrapper it will actually do better in the long run (meaning that it MIGHT seem slower to you but it will be more stable in the speed it runs) because your processor has the extra little bit left over.

One other thing to remember. If you are using an amd k62, remember that it has NO lvl 2 cache, and the architecture was terrible for that proc. It is a terrible gaming processor (though I am not saying it doesnt function at all, hell I used a 500 for 1 1/2 yrs or so.) It is just not as beefy as its counterpart of the same speed, in the load limit to slow down ratio (which is not to say that it will not clock higher than the pent. but just under tremendous load it bogs more).

the slow/sound problem was in 1964 which doesnt use a wrapper, anyway i found a excellnet wrapper (glide2ideal) for supraHLE which draws me everything in my games and the sound is perfect, in comparition to this, all other emulators are crap
