is it me or does epsxe 1.4 take its time to initialize?

it seems to me that 1.4 takes some more time to start at the beginning of a game or between certain sequences than 1.2.
Why's that?

I didn't notice anything different about that.
Are you playing from your CDROM dear Samor?
If so maybe you can try to clean it.

I too have noticed a slightly increased delay. No real annoyance though. I think it may say something about this in the readme(maybe I imagined it). If your using Pete CD plugin then you could try the other settings. I think that the autodetect picks a mode that works for you, but isn't always the best for you.

I also experienced the little delay, but its performance cheer me up and make me forget about the delay!!!:D

I've only noticed a small delay when I change plugin options (or the plugin themselves). Anyway, it only happens the first time I load the emu after the changes.
