I've tried to get it to work but the farthest it will go
is to the opening movie. Then the game freezes and I have to start over.

It got past the opening movie and to the title.
But when I pick something it freezes now at "Now Loading".

use the kyeboard plugin and not the joydemo

Huh?
I am using JOY Keb but I can't pick any others but Mouse and Null.
So how do I pick the other ones?

other developers made indipendent plugin for fpse, few but willing full

Darko Majestic is one of them (see the old news to get his site...)
