Does EPSXE currently have any known plugins that support VirtualDrive? If so, where can I find them. Of course, this is for backup purposes only. ;)

Lol... sheesh... some people :p
Think of it as CD burning to your HDD. VirtualDrive emulates a CD-ROM drive on your computer (E:, F:, etc.) and allows you to make copies of CD's to your HDD (*.vcd files). Then you can load and un-load these *.vcd files (through virtual drive manager) to your Virtual CD-ROM drive... the general point is that you never have to keep CD-ROMS around anymore... Plus all data transfers at the rate of a 100x CD-ROM drive... two big pluses for emulation... except that it won't work... :(

Use Daemon's Tools or even use the RUN ISO option in ePSXe to run your games as ISO images.

If it creates a fake CD-Rom then you shouldn't have a problem with the internal plugins. I use a similar tool (Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.com)), and I have no problems with these.

I haven't used Virtual CD in years!
The only advantage I know of that it'd have over Daemon-Tools nowadays is its ability to use Compressed Images! So for example Vagrant Story (which compresses well) would take up about 150Mb instead of 700 :)
But with the size of todays Hard Drives it probably isn't really needed!
Give Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.com) a go! If you dont have problems with it then it might be Virtual CD's way of handling the drives!
Bearing in mind you'll need to create the images with something like IsoBuster (www.isobuster.com) again, so that Daemon-Tools can read them!

I would be interested to know if a compressed ISO would work with ePSXe. I really doubt it, but I have been wrong before(once;) ).

Well the last time I used Virtual Drive was before the PSX even existed, so its not surprising that I wouldn't know whether it'd support PlayStation CDs or not!
