GT2 slowness

i am having probs with gt2. all other games work at a decent frame rate, except gt2 it only runs at 34fps
i have a PIII550 mhz
128mb ram
Voodoo2 .

any help?

gt2 is one of the newer psx games and requires a powerful pc....p3 550 with voodoo2 is not enough to run it 60fps full speed

what would be the best gpu plugin to use it then?

I have a P450 and a voodoo 5. GT2 runs perfectly on my machine, but only after I turned off the sound. With sound on, GT2 is quite a bit slower
