Hmm, can't Blanka air-recover from the Zan'ei? I can do a 30+ hit combo with Ken and his Shinryuken in the corner but the enemy can air-recover out of it so it isn't really a combo, just a loose juggle.

Didya played Marvel vs Capcom? I once did a 94 hit combo with Strider and Morrigan! In SFA3 I once did a 22 hit combo with Rainbow Mika. I'm not verry good in SFA3.

MvC is just too OTT for me. I did once manage a 25 hit combo which finished on a 17 hit shinryuken from Ken.
I also did a 40+ hit combo with Shin Akuma in Capcom vs SNK 2, but that was easy; just jump in with the double fireball, do a Tatsumakisenupukyaku, then finish with a 32 hit Raging Dragon.

Big combos are expected with games like Marvel vs Capcom. There are even some infinite combos, although Capcom tries to prevent them.
The biggest combo I did in SFA3 was with Ken (V-ISM) and it was about 56 hits or so. It's a corner variable combo. Whily fully charged hit medium punch + kick to initiate variable mode and continuously do his Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku. You'll be able to pull off about 6 of them before the power runs out

Yes he can.. But the combo works if he doesn't.. Even if he does, you can always do a level 2 ground super, then do a super kick grab which even if he recovers, will stomp him to the ground.. That makes it 10 hits with 2 supers done(no air recover), or 9 hits with the super stomping him anyways(with air recover)..
I don't use Vism very much.. I only use it for Vega as his ground roll can continuously hit over and over for a total of 25+ hits!
But sfa3 isn't a combo mania game.. It's more strategy and tactics than button mashing.. But big comboes are still sweet though.. If you guys want a match, meet me online on the west coast servers with mame32k.. Then you'll find out why people on there call me "the gen master" and "the gief"..

I only use V-ISM with Ken for the combo mentioned above. Most of the time I use A-ISM Ryu or Sagat. I don't usually go for big combos but I LOVE to juggle;). I'd like to experiment with V-ISM some more though. Variable combos can be deadly in the hands of a true master and you can easily strip away 50% health or more in a single session (my Ken combo does about 50% more or less).
I agree, SFA3 is more strategy and tactics and less flashy combos and supers. If I want to play a combo-ish game I'd load up Marvel vs Capcom. I used to play CPS2 games on-line but not anymore. I hardly play any game on-line anymore *sigh*. My gamer days are fading away...

Errr... now that the SFA3 combos topic has been mentioned, can anyone tell me how to perform Shin Akuma's freaking ultra combo?¿? I think it's the key to beat my brother :D

Just make sure you use it in close range. It won't do any good when you're more than half a screen away. If you want to be really cheap knock the enemy down and perform it as they're about to get up.

You can jump out of it's way all the time even while getting up.. They've weakend the priority of the move somewhat in sfa3..

Yeah, I've even managed to throw Akuma during his Demon Rage a couple of times. You can still connect with it a lot of the time though, especially if you execute it right as they get up and pull it off very fast. If only you could use Shin Akuma in the decrypted arcade SFA3. He can combo with his Demon Rage.
