I know it may sound stupid, but where can I configure the auto-launch of the programs when win2k boots?
U know, like msconfig for win98...
Thx for ur replies.

Win2k doesn't have a feature like msconfig, for whatever reason. You can, however, define what programs start by modifying the registry.
Start->Run->Regedit
Then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\
From here, look in the "Run," "RunOnce," and "RunServices" keys.
Honestly, you can run msconfig.exe within Windows 2000, but it'll complain about not being able to find config.sys, autoexec.bat, win.ini and system.ini not being present. If you have your old windows partition still, go to [letter]:\Windows\system\ and open up msconfig. I wouldn't recommend this though, seeing as how using an older utility on a newer operating system is seldom a good idea.

Thanks a lot.
Before, I ve thought of putting msconfig w/ the winnt systems files like i did w/ other commands from 98 to 95 (i still have an old pc)
But this time was Win2k.
Not the same core, the same registry..
I didn t think that I was able to do this old trick again
BTW, yup I still have a win98 partition on my hard drive.
Thx again cluthu.
Bye
