I dont get the first one

The tiles marked a and b are actualy the same colour (due to the shadow), but you can't percieve that. Your eyes tell you that B is a lighter colour

Heh the third one USED to get me till I did a project on it at school... now it's really easy... as for the first one that is very interesting... I'm gonna go check the shades on color VIA PC as I don't quite believe they are the same shade...

*EDIT* WHOA that is weird... I cut out the B from the picture and saved it as it's own picture... I then opened the picture of the illusion and the picture of just the "B" square and placed them RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER... and they still looked very different! (the picture of just "B" looked a lot darker then in the actual picture)

If you save the first pic, then cut out a small square from A or B and paste it over the other box, the colors blend in and the cut piece dissappears into it.. Freaky!!!

Keep staring at the black dot. After a while
the gray haze around it will appear to shrink.

BTW: You have to stare for a while, but it works.

Hehe okay last one. here are the instructions - Notice the second picture has almost the same look to it. Well if you did this right (and who couldn't) it will go away!

Instructions: Fixate upon the black spot in between the uniform cyan and yellow areas for about 30 seconds. Then scroll down and shift your gaze to the black spot in the 2nd image. Note that the image of the seaplane appears approximately uniform after this adaptation.

Damn it's not working out right... the dots disappear and reappear but they aren't dancing like the first one I made... if I fix it I'll post it here...

Look at where the graph crosses the outline in the 3rd and sixth line accross. You'll notice that the Red triangle doesnt actualy have exactly the same gradient in both pics.
