FF7 bug?

In Battle Arena, I have got myself the omnislash and w-simmon materia, in disc2. But there's no one offering me a special battle, in other words, there's no Final Attack materia for me... Is this a bug or something? What will actually happen when I got these stuff? From what I read of, I'll be asked to compete in a "Special Battle" but...

I think the special battle was only disc3, although it's about 3/4 years since I got final attack, so my memory is very hazy.

Last time I played through a similar thing happened. I got omnislash and w-summon and they didn't offer me the special battle either. I was on disc 3. I fought a few more times though (and bought all those other stupid items) and then it opened up.

Yeah, there are a couple of disc 3 only items (like Vincent's neat final weapon), and I think Final Attack is one of them.

Ryos, I thought you could get Vincent's ultimate weapon in disc2 by visiting Lucrecia twice? Or do you have to visit her once in disc2 and then another time in disc3? Im asking cause Vincent is the spellcaster of my party, would be great if he could deal lots of damage as well. Thanks :)

Yup, I got vincent's ultimate weapon and limit break lvl4 in disc2.

Actually Vincents final weapon is avaible in disc 2 without cheats. just wait a couple of hours before going to her he 2nd time and it will be there. Its true i did it

if memory serves me correctly, you might need also the Ultima weapon (Cloud's ultimate weapon) equipped.

I believe in FF7 all "time" triggered events are actually controlled by amount of battles, not game time. Stuff like talking to the chocobo sage, time between mating/breeding chocobo's, and time between lucrecia's events. They have to be real battles too, not battle arena fights.

Anyone knows how to get a materia, which is a combination of four magics, like freeze, tornado and flare?

I believe Ultragunner is right. Personally, I never got Special Battle without Ultima Weapon.

Ultragunner: Indeed, I need to have Ultima Weapon equiped for the special battle. Just beatten Ultimate Weapon and got my finall attack materia. Thanks a lot. :)

No,that's not the one, it's rather Mimic or Quatra Magic (Sorry, not too sure).

actually you need to buy the mimett greens. Then talk to the chocobo and it will act all nice to u. Give it the Mimett green, then tickle it behind its ears. you'll get the contain materia.
