I 've recently adquired an AMD 500 cpu. Can I use my old AMD 350 cooler & fan with it, or do I need to buy a new one?

Yes, you should be able to. As long as your AMD 500 isn't an Athlon. Those require a different fan than the K6 2 (AMD 350s etc.) do.

I think you should buy new cooler & fan............
Because your new AMD 500 must hotter than your old one..........
Maybe your old cooler can't handle it................

At the very least you might want to try cleaning the dust and debris from your current fan. Often you'll find it can lower your temperature and make the fans a wee bit quieter.
