I know the source code never got released, but once when I was looking through an archive of an emu site I thought I read an article about it being replaced for about a half a week, but then it became illegal (by Nintendo):dead:to host to source so the emu site deleted it. I could have sworn I saw this on a site once in like 1999, 2000. Is it true? Does anyone have the source code or did it completely get deleted?

The source code of ultrahle has been leaked to the public.. Check the forums at www.emutalk.com for loads of discussions about it..

They probably do but change it around so much just to make it original. You know so the credit is all theirs.;)

The current emulators (PJ64, 1964, etc) and plugins are much more advanced than UltraHLE. Even from a speed point of view, try 1964+glide64+Azimer's Direct Sound 0.3 old on a low specs PC with a voodoo card, you'll be surprised of the result. :)
