I wondered about something...is it normal that my Athlon has a temperature of 58°C (138°F) ???????????????????
Isn't it too much???

I use a Taisol Aqua690 fan and a MSI K7T turbo-r motherboard.....and I'm a newbie !!!!

It's normal, 60 C are normal for athlon processors with standard fans.
If you want less then 60 C, you may buy a powerful cooler like the Titan Majesty.

i don't know if it is normal(i only have a 750mhz t-bird at around 50C with a standard fan) but i suggest you get a better fan+heatsink+thermal compund, high temperatures are known to shorten the lifespan of pc hardware.

I have an Athlon T-bird 1.2ghz running on a Soyo motherboard and my CPU temp. never goes above 53 C. I would say your system is running a bit to hot. You'd better keep a close eye on it or you could wind frying your CPU real quick.

mid 50's for a 1.33ghz is pretty normal, although you would want better cooling if you plan to overclock beyond that, not to mention a better power supply.
